Florentin Popa was born in 1989 through mostly his own efforts. He is one of the most notable cultural exports of his hometown, second only to a famous brand of corn puffs. Quite like said corn puffs, most of what he fashions is oversized packaging, full of crumbly bits of nothing. His debut work, “Trips, heroes & lovesongs” (his secret wish is that it would be named “Planet Piss”) hit the market in 2014. His slightly improved second debut, “Efrafa”, arrived in 2017 (and its title is just fine thank you very much). His hope is to soon return with a last smash-hit debut. Until then, he’ll be chilling in Cluj, tending to his severs like a benevolent shepherd – while also plucking strings and pushing buttons in a different kind of attempt to touch hearts.
