Ştefan Manasia (b. 1977 in Piteşti, Romania). Poet and journalist. Manasia is the editor of Tribuna, a literary magazine based in Cluj-Napoca. Back in 2008, together with János Szántai and François Bréda he set up a new reading club called „Nepotu’ lui Thoreau”, the largest Romanian-Hungarian literary community in Transylvania. Manasia published six volumes of poetry: Amazon şi alte poeme (Amazon and Other Poems, 2003), cartea micilor invazii (the book of small invasions, 2008, Manuscriptum Prize for poetry, National Museum of Romanian Literature), motocicleta de lemn (the wooden motorcycle, 2011, Young writer of the year prize), Bonobo sau cucerirea spaţiului (Bonobo or the Conquest of Space, 2013), Cerul senin (Blue Sky, 2015, Poetry Prize from Observator Cultural magazine) and Gustul Cireşelor (The Taste of Cherries, 2017).
His poems are translated into Hungarian, French, German, Polish, and Hebrew. He participated in public readings both in Romania and abroad (Budapest, Berlin, Prague, Čseské Budějovice, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Tivon, Chişinău). He published one volume of literary essays and reviews, Stabilizator of aromă (Flavor sSabilizer, 2016).
